The East Side Bike Club is the latest effort to expand access to biking and activities in Buffalo, NY. It all started with a small workshop in the basement with 10 bikes and has now grown to more than 100 bikes that are being used in the community. The founder of the East Side Bike Club, George Johnson, believes that this is the start of a new narrative and more inclusive bike industry. Johnson shared that the bike club is a big, happy family and the organization's mission is to express the love for one another. Fredricka Barton began her journey with the club during the pandemic.
